The original track guide system on the Fisher model 10 and 11 camera dolly’s were intended for use with square track.

This system could be used on curves, to make this possible each one of the 8 guide wheels had to have a great deal of spring pressure, 80 lbs per wheel. Because of this the dolly's were quite noisy and very hard to push. Also in some cases because of all of this pressure the dolly would tend to come off the track.

Changes

To the untrained eye the system looks the same however nearly every part was scrapped and RE-DESIGNED FOR USE WITH ROUND TRACK. The new Blue Guides have wheels made with the latest polyurethane formulation, 2 lbs of pressure per wheel resulting in truly effortless pushing and extremely quiet operation.

Limitations

Blue Guide Wheels are not intended for use with curved Dolly tracks. When operating our Dolly on curved track we recommend the use of our skateboard wheels (SBWS) for the best results.
