About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in Mastercam programming to join our team. As a CNC Machinist at our manufacturing company specializing in high precision motion picture and television equipment, you will play a vital role in producing components that meet our rigorous quality standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in operating CNC machines and a strong background in programming using Mastercam software.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining of components according to specifications.
Review engineering drawings, blueprints, or models to determine the machining process and requirements.
Program CNC machines using Mastercam software to generate tool paths and optimize machining operations.
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining job.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their optimal performance.
Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machining or programming.
Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Keep accurate records of production data, including job times, quantities produced, and any issues encountered.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or vocational training in machining is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with high precision components.
Proficiency in programming CNC machines using Mastercam software, including creating tool paths and optimizing machining operations.  Â
Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or models.
Experience with setting up and adjusting CNC machines for optimal performance.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments to inspect finished parts.
Good troubleshooting skills and ability to solve problems related to machining and programming.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.     Â
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
General knowledge of cutting tools and metals.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
